We had a mixed experience renting this home. While the owners are friendly, professional and willing to help, the circumstances we faced in this particular home was unpleasant. The photos conceal some gaps in basic livability standards. It might be ok, if you're renting for a weekend. But, anything more than a weekend, means you're making a serious compromise.
1. The layout of the home is like a train coach - the living room, room#2, kitchen, bathroom room #1, backyard. The only useful windows for light and air are in the front. This means 60% of the house has zero light or air exposure. The room#1 in the back of the house has a small window and door to the yard, but does not provide any light.
2. The bathroom has zero ventilation, so expect high humidity. The bathroom also came without curtains or any storage, so once again it was below basic living standards.
3. The hosts were nice enough to install washer and dryer, which we really appreciated. But, the laundry room is dark and dingy. We had mold all over our stuff that we had stored here. The issue might have been made worse due to the incessant storms during our stay. Even so, for us - this felt like below living standards.
4. The kitchen does not have any hood or ventilation and just a basic induction stove with 2 plates. There zero natural air or light in the kitchen. If you plan on cooking here, expect the kitchen to get damp very soon.
5. The Good part of the location is its close to lot of restaurants. On the other side, this street has numerous bars and it can get very noisy during the weekends.

The hosts are great people, but the fact is the unit does come short of meeting basic living standards, if you're planning to stay for more than a weekend!

The apartment did not have adequate heating. Just 3 small spot heater for 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room and a bathroom. The floors were freezing cold. The stove gaz burners and oven were not hooked up to the gaz bottle, so only 2 electric heating plates and a microwave oven were available. The electrical panel would trip all the time when heaters and anything else was on at the same time. I did not meet the host as he was in south america at the time.

The dog was a serious issue. It was not the same dog as in the description and barked frequently, sometimes for hours straight. For about one month it repeatedly urinated on the living room floor. While this was no longer an issue toward the end of the stay, it significantly affected the overall experience.

The mattress was worn out and visibly stained, which made sleeping uncomfortable. Only one bedsheet was provided.

The shared living area was not actually shared. I was allowed to use it for breakfast when the host was at work, and since we left around the same time this was barely possible. In the evenings the door was closed, so it was clearly not a common area as described.

The dishwasher did not work properly.

The guest policy was changed compared to what was stated in the contract. According to the booking, guests were allowed for three days free of charge per month. The host only allowed about half of that and demanded 10 euros per night, which I refused.

Positive aspects were the cleaning every two weeks, a fully functional washing machine, and a very good location.

LANDLORD'S REPLY:
It is somewhat strange that if the stay was so unsatisfactory, why would the guest stay here for four whole months?

I would therefore like to comment on the points in the review.

 Dog: The dog lives in the apartment and this is stated in the offer. He is well-behaved and clean. The offer is suitable for those who like dogs or at least don’t mind them.

Living room:  It is not a rule that it is automatically shared, as stated in the offer as well.

Dishwasher: The dishwasher was replaced with a brand new one during the guest’s stay.

Visits of the guest friends: The guest was visited by her friends for free several times. However, I believe it is good manners to respect the host’s privacy.

Room: The room is in standard condition and has never been complained about. I believe that guest would slept much better if she kept her room tidy. The room was thoroughly cleaned after the guest’s departure.

This was quite the nightmare experience, the word I have ever add in a temporal housing.

First of all the violation of all flatio terms from the beginning. The host requested a deposit, for which I had to insist it goes against the platform agreements and had me pay a late check-in fee of 50€ that was not stated in the listing.

I received a faulty apartment, with the lock of the door broken and a Wifi network that never worked (he says that it is because it's "forbidden" to download big files), I had to use my mobile data plan for the entire stay.

But the worst is yet to come, one day we stopped having water supply on the entire building, this makes the whole building "uninhabitable" according to Spanish law. The host insisted that it will be resolved quickly and provided bottles of water. I lived like this for a week, until I called the water company here in Valencia (Global Onum) and they told me that the building doesn't have any contract with them. Since that means that the issue could last for weeks or even months I rushed to book an Airbnb and left the apartment.

The host even has the indecency of demand me to clean the apartment with the bottles of water, like it is completely Ok to have to live without water supply like if it where a jungle or a deserted island.

Avoid completely, don't risk living a similar nightmare experience.

I honestly don’t know what was worse: the apartment itself or the landlady. This place was an absolute nightmare, and I strongly advise anyone reading this to stay away at all costs.
Let’s start with the apartment. The photos are pure deception and have nothing to do with reality. The room is handed over in whatever filthy state the previous tenant left it in. The kitchen, bathroom, and toilet are dirty and rancid. When I moved in, there was already mold behind the sink, which says everything about the level of care taken here.
The refrigerator randomly leaks water, leaving puddles on the floor. The shower head is broken, spraying water in all directions except where it should. There is no mailbox, no doorbell, and no nameplates — basic things you would expect in any functional apartment. The room door has a glass window, meaning zero privacy unless you cover it yourself. Even after insulating the door with special materials, the soundproofing is still completely inadequate: you can clearly hear the toilet flushing and every single movement in the kitchen. Relaxing in your own room is simply impossible.
Heating deserves its own special mention. The regulator in the room is rusted and stuck, so you cannot control the temperature. The only way to regulate heating is via the bathroom, which means either you sweat like crazy, your roommates freeze, or you sleep with the heating blasting and the windows wide open. There is no reasonable middle ground.
And these are just the problems with the apartment itself.
Now to the landlady — or rather, the complete absence of any real landlord responsibility. I repeatedly tried to report these issues. The messages are read, but responses come extremely late, if at all. Communication is a disaster. She barely understands English and is apparently unable (or unwilling) to use a translator, which makes the delays even more absurd.
On October 15, I sent a long, detailed message listing all the defects. After weeks of following up and practically begging, I finally managed to speak to her on November 14. She openly admitted that she couldn’t even remember the last time she had seen the apartment in person. I was then promised that by the end of November the following would be fixed: a new toilet and floor, a repaired refrigerator, a new bathroom floor and bathtub, a mailbox with keys and nameplate, and a replaced heating regulator.
I am writing this at the end of January. Unsurprisingly, almost nothing has happened. The toilet was eventually repaired, and I was told the bathroom would be next — but at this point, promises are meaningless. You can safely assume that every promise will be delayed by at least two to three months, if it happens at all.
To make things even worse, the landlady doesn’t even live in Prague. When something finally starts moving after endless delays, you as the tenant are expected to chase third parties yourself.
P.S.: Just to be clear about the noise situation: both current roommates have children who temporarily live in the apartment, meaning it is rarely occupied by only three adults. If you think this will be a quiet or peaceful place to live — think again.

I stayed in this property during winter and had to leave early due to serious heating and power issues. The house was cold, damp, and not fit for remote work or even basic comfort.

Heating was first provided via a faulty oil heater, then replaced with small 300W infrared panels — which were wholly inadequate and then a faulty gas heater. Power outages occurred when using essentials like a heater or even a kettle. Warm water was unreliable, and the humidity was so high it risked damage to my electronics.

When I raised concerns, the landlord eventually suggested I should purchase a new gas heater myself — instead of taking responsibility for providing a habitable space.

I became ill from the conditions and had to move out. After platform intervention, I received only a partial refund — and no compensation for the time spent in unsafe, unlivable conditions.

Be cautious. Make sure major upgrades have been made and clear accountability is in place. Winter tenants especially: don’t rely on assumptions — ask for proof that heating and electricity are truly functional.

El propietario no tiene cuidado con los inquilinos que acepta.
Tuve muchos problemas con un grupo de inquilinos hombres que no sabían español (ni inglés), dejaban todo sucio y hasta me golpeaban la puerta a media noche. Intenté solucionar el tema con el propietario, pero no se logró nada. Los problemas continuaron. Preferí irme a la casa de amigos a pasar allá los fines de semana.
Cuando pedí al propietario que finalicemos el contrato de mutuo acuerdo, por lo problemas, no accedió y tuve que irme a pesar de seguir pagando, ya que la verdad estaba muy temerosa por los inquilinos.
Y esto fue desde el primer día que llegaron. Incluso el primer día lque llegaron también llegó la policía a verificar quienes eran y donde vivían, lo que también me asustó.

No. Because significant delay and extra admin for no reason.

Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with this apartment. There was mold on the walls, dirty dishes, a broken coffee machine, dirty windows with bird droppings on the sills, and months-old dust and cobwebs behind the bed. The wi-fi didn’t work, and both the shower and sink drains were clogged.

Although I asked the landlady to arrange cleaning and repairs, she said the cleaner was unavailable, and despite claiming she contacted other services, nothing changed for three days. She admitted the apartment was neglected and needed cleaning, but still didn’t arrange it.

She also accused me of pressuring her to move in earlier, even though she had asked for an extra day to prepare the flat — which I agreed to — yet the apartment was still in terrible condition. Her only solution was that I leave early, which she considered fair. I did not, as the apartment was too dirty to work, sleep, or live in.

I had to leave and find another place. Very unpleasant experience — I do not recommend this apartment.

Byt byl nájemnici předán osobně při nastěhování a v daný moment nebyly vzneseny žádné výhrady. Připomínky začaly přicházet až s odstupem času. Na každou z nich jsem reagovala bezodkladně. Kontaktovala jsem techniky na internet, objednala nový kávovar, řešila možnost úklidu a opakovaně komunikovala s poskytovateli služeb. O všech krocích byla nájemnice průběžně informována.
Vzhledem k tomu, že některé požadavky nebylo možné vyřešit okamžitě (zejména z důvodu dostupnosti externích služeb), nabídla jsem férové řešení formou předčasného ukončení pobytu. Toto řešení bylo nakonec realizováno dohodou přes platformu Flatio a s částečným vrácením nájemného, se kterým nájemnice souhlasila.
Je mi líto, že pobyt nesplnil očekávání nájemnice, nicméně z mé dlouhodobé zkušenosti i historie hodnocení na Flatio (dlouhodobě 5/5) je zřejmé, že se jednalo o mimořádnou a nestandardní situaci, kdy očekávání a standardy nebyly na obou stranách v souladu.
Byt byl po odjezdu převzat zpět bez jakýchkoliv dalších připomínek a spolupráce byla oficiálně uzavřena dle pravidel platformy.
Zároveň bych ráda doplnila, že veškeré nahlášené záležitosti byly po odjezdu nájemnice vyřešeny. Byt je nyní po generálním úklidu, s plně funkčním internetem, odpady i novým vybavením a je připraven v plném standardu pro další hosty.

I moved here for a six month let. The host did not give me a chance to view the flat before I moved in, saying there were guests there. When I arrived I found a live cockroach in the kitchen sink. The frid,ge was unplugged, leaking onto a wet towel underneath, and had a foul smell which had permeated all the flat. The flat was old and decrepid. There was clutter and old cheap furniture everywhere, so hardly any space to store my items and furniture. There were bedbugs in the bed.
I moved out the next day. I moved my possessions out the day after. The host refused to refund the rent I paid from when I moved everything out on the 3rd of October until the 31st. They are a scam. I've had to get my bank involved. I can't imagine anyone staying there even for a short holiday.

We arrived on the first day with an 8-month reservation, only to be told by the owner that we had to leave because he was planning to sell the apartment. We were forced to look for another place at the last minute, which was extremely stressful and unprofessional.

The kitchen had very few utensils, and most of them were dirty from previous guests. The apartment is very dark, most of the light bulbs don’t work, and overall it was not clean. The closets were full of the owner’s boxes and bags, leaving almost no space for us.

Terrible experience. I booked and paid for a T1 apartment (65 m²). On the day of our arrival, the phone number listed in the contract was unavailable, and the manager stopped responding in the chat. We arrived and ended up spending four hours outside waiting. During that time, we managed to find another phone number for the manager, but when we finally reached him, he said it wasn’t his problem and claimed they didn’t work with Flatio.

Thankfully, the cleaning staff noticed us, checked our documents, contacted their supervisors, and managed to find a vacant apartment for us. We’re very grateful for their help — especially since we had small children and it was already late, so finding another place would have been almost impossible.

Unfortunately, the apartment we were given was much smaller and in worse condition than the one we had originally booked. The manager didn’t offer any compensation for the difference, never apologized, and made no effort to take responsibility for what happened.

Unfortunately, I did not have a pleasant stay and wanted to change my accomodation from the very first day. The owner started blaming me for minor issues and kept introducing new rules. I recommend that she clearly list all her rules on the website so potential guests can decide beforehand whether they can comply with them. Moreover, it is not acceptable to treat tenants or guests disrespectfully.

From a technical standpoint, the lock on my door was faulty, and I was once locked out because of it. Additionally, the rug in the room caused me an allergy. When I asked for a vacuum cleaner to clean it, the owner refused. Overall, I do not recommend staying at her place.

Flatio’s service was excellent — 10/10 for their professionalism and responsiveness.
Unfortunately, my experience with host Emma Cano was very disappointing. Key amenities such as the mobile AC, printer, and scanner were not provided as advertised. The host frequently changed house rules, limited kitchen access, and spoke to tenants in a disrespectful manner. Despite trying to comply and communicate, the environment became uncomfortable.
I strongly recommend Flatio, but do not recommend this particular host or property.

V bytě bylo nevyhovující vybavení,v původnim zanedbaném stavu. Také špinavo. Gauč byl flekatý a nevyčištěný,prasklá postranice u ostele, kuchyňská linka s lemem špíny kolem umyvadla a s rozbitým šuplíkem,bez mikrovlnky, kývací zmožený konf.stoleček,
Prach na zásuvkách a vypinačích,nesvitolo velké světlo v koupelně a nešlo topení. Byla jen prikrývka pro dva,ale spala jsem na gauči, postel je malá. Tedy chyběla další přikrývka. Paní přinesla baterie do ovládáni topení a žárovku,ale to není moje práce davat do lampy žarovku.
Zrušen pobyt a nikomu tohle nedoporučím.

The apartment was advertised as 60 m², but in reality, it’s about half that size. During my stay, there was extremely loud heavy-duty construction nearby — the noise and vibration from the equipment were constant on weekdays and made it difficult to stay in during the day.

On the positive side, the unit itself is newly renovated and in good condition. It includes a small bedroom, a very compact bathroom, and a functional kitchen. Overall, it’s suitable for a maximum of two people, but be aware of the size discrepancy and potential construction noise.

Terrible experience. The house had hot water lasting no more than 3 minutes. The host entered the house without notice and was uncooperative. Every day there was a new problem. The toilet leaked multiple times. We were supposed to stay there for 3 months, and we managed to shorten it to one month — but after just the first week, with only 3 minutes of hot water per day, we had no choice but to move to another place. We tried to reach at least a mutual agreement to pay only for the first 7 nights since we couldn’t even take a proper hot shower, but the host kept denying the water issue and blaming us instead. We are not the first people to have this experience — I have NEVER had any problems with a house or a rental before, but with Radka I did. You can find more reviews on other rental platforms — I strongly recommend checking there.The owner will probably try to justify herself, but when negative reviews start piling up, maybe it’s time to ask a couple of questions.

On Sunday morning, as agreed with Mr. Michal, I arrived at his apartment at 10 a.m. I rang the doorbell, but no one came to open the door. I tried to contact him, and it turned out that he had overslept. When I entered my room, he informed me that he had not yet been able to clean it.

He then gave me a vacuum cleaner and cleaning supplies so I could clean everything myself. I have photos of this, but it is obviously difficult to capture this on camera. Everything in the house, including my room, smelled terrible of cigarettes and everything was musty. Even the bedding that was lying on my bed (in a pile). The green mat was also really dirty and musty. So it was clear that no one had been in the room for a long time. What's more, there were still things in the closet that he would pick up “when he had the chance.”

It also turned out that the door to my room was completely transparent and could only be closed with a hook. The bathroom couldn't be closed either. So I have no privacy at all.

The kitchen and bathroom, which we have to share, were also extremely dirty. Michal was not prepared for my arrival. The dishwasher was full of moldy stuff. When I was away for a while on Sunday afternoon, he quickly gave the kitchen and bathroom a superficial clean.

When I want to use the toilet, I notice that someone has urinated all over the seat.

I was planning to stay there for 4 months and only stayed 2 days.

Disgusting apartment from day one: mold on the walls, filthy toilet and shower, dirty kitchen, unusable oven. Nothing was as advertised, everything was filthy. The host doesn’t respond, refuses any refund, and denies the obvious. And worst of all, don’t count on Flatio: the platform protects the host instead of helping the tenant. Avoid at all costs.

Julie knew about a large re-constuction job happening in the flat directly above us. It went on everyday all day even the weekends!! When we asked Julie about she said that it was to be completed 2 weeks before our arrival and there was nothing she could do and would continue till mid September! We tried to find another place but everything in our budget and even beyond was booked, even with help of a Flatio rep. The flat itself was lacking TLC the bathroom has stains in the shower and broken vanity, the fridge didn't keep our items cold and the washing machine made all of our clothes super hard. We thought it was the hard water but, now we now live in our flat just a few streets away and our laundry comes out soft. But the worst thing was that NONE of the window locked and had no striping. So, we heard everything that was happening outside all the time.
