I'm Silke, a well-travelled German (having grown up next to the French boarder, with half of my family being French) who has found NZ as her place to be. For a long time when I was travelling the world, home was where my bed was. I have innate zest of life and adventure and love discovering new cultures, customs, and habits. Now I make my home yours for the time of your stay.
I have published the first two intercultural books about New Zealand in 2018 in German, „Wahlheimat Neuseeland“ and „Leben und Arbeiten in Neuseeland“. I like to be easy-going, open-minded, spontaneous, fun to be with, authentic and a good listener. Mostly I manage. ;) I like unconventional, thought-provoking views. I like people who treat other people well, equal and respectful. I’m gone with the wind while snowkiting and kite-surfing. My feet take me far away while skiing and running. Half marathons are my favourite distance.

Silke bietet ihren Mietern eine traumhaft schöne Wohnung an, die mit ihren polierten Dielen, bodentiefen Fenstern und dem Blick über "die drei Meere" ein Gefühl der Weite der Seele vermittelt. Silke legt mit vielen Détails großen Wert auf ihre Wohnung, was auch jedem Mieter zugute kommt. Silke kennt die Stadt, die Umgebung, das Land bestens und lässt den Gast durch eine umfangreiche Broschüre davon profitieren. Sie ist sehr hilfsbereit, sogar bei Fragen, die man als Nicht-Neuseeländer eben hat, für die sie aber keineswegs "zuständig" sein "muss". Sie beantwortet E-Mails sehr schnell, wenn die Tageszeit(en) und ihre Situation es zulassen, manchmal innerhalb einer Stunde. Ich kann sie als Gastgeberin nur empfehlen.
