Hugo is a fantastic host. He communicated quickly and clearly every time I reached out to him. While he wasn't personally available for my check-in and check-out, he sent a friend and a relative each time to handle these situations and each of them was very friendly and helpful.
The unit itself was very clean, had everything one might need, and the building was nice. The rooftop patio and pool is beautiful. The location is an easy walk into the center of Funchal (with an uphill return) so it is very convenient. Renters should be aware, though, that this building is in the heart of Funchal so city noise is to be expected and insulation between units is not the same as in other countries.
If you're looking for an apartment that is perfect for remote work and an urban experience in Madeira, this is a great place!

The apartment is very nice, spacious and in perfect condition. The location was also perfect, since it is just couple minutes walk to restaurants, boardwalk and all places Funchal has to offer. Parking was a big plus as we had a car rented multplie times. We stayed with our 1 year old daughter and high chair, bed and everyhting else was also provided. The apartment was also safe for the baby.
Hugo was exceptional host. Met us at check in to show us around and let us know how everything works. He also provided list for things to see, visit and eat in, which was very helpful and we ended up doing most of the things on there.
Overall can recommend to anyone that want to visit this beautiful island.

Me, my husband and my daughter (11 months old) have spent one month in Hugo’s apartment. It was absolutely fantastic. The location was great, the apartment had everything we needed and Hugo and his brother were always easy and fast to get in touch with. We highly recommend a stay here and we hope to come back another time!

Excellent apartment! We stayed at Hugo’s place for almost seven weeks and it was perfect for our needs. The apartment had all the amenities, including a monitor, fast wifi for two person doing video calls and workstation for remote work. Kitchen had all the appliances and bedrooms and bathrooms were well equipped. The terrace on the top of the building offered great views and was a perfect place for a lunch time swim and sunbathing. Neighbours were and the whole neighbourhood was friendly and quiet. We will definitely stay at Hugo’s again if we will come back to Funchal.

Staying in this apartment was a great experience end to end!
Host communication and check in was smooth. The in-person check-in is really helpful as it’s quite a large space, especially considering the building roof terrace & the parking.
It was nice to be welcomed with a bottle of water and some local food and drinks.
The desk set up here was fantastic. I’m especially a fan of the office chair which had a proper headrest. And the monitor!
If I’m being super critical, It would have been nice to fit the arms on the chair under the desk. If you are a different height to me (likely) you might be able to find some way to make that work out for you, Otherwise…
The desk set-up here was perfect! And the wifi held up for all of the work I was doing, mostly content, and video calls.

We needed to re-set the wifi router when we arrived, as we couldn’t connect at first. But the reset resolved the issues connecting.
For the most part, the connection was perfect, but one night (very late) it did drop out 2-3 times, it was only for a split second, and you wouldn’t even notice it unless you were on a call, or just trying to load a page. But worth mentioning.
The apartment itself is very spacious, with the furniture and finish done to a really high standard. And it’s got everything you could want and need, from coffee machine to umbrellas!
There’s more than enough space in the living room, either bedroom, or the balcony to do a home workout, but you also have the roof terrace and pool, and a nice public park across the road, with lots of grass, and paved floor - all perfect for a workout. The building also has a very small gym - there’s a treadmill, an exercise bike, and some floor space - which you can access.
The building has reasonable accessibility with a ramp up to the entry doors, and a lift once you are inside. And inside the apartment itself there is lots of space to move a pram or chair around through doorways etc. One of the bathrooms also has a large shower with no step up to access.
This listing 100% matches the description, and when visiting Madeira again, I’ll be checking if this apartment is available!

This place was perfect for our workation. Hugo and his brother are both very friendly and accommodating. They helped us with every question and shared awesome spots to visit.
The apartment is very modern and well equipped. The jewel is the roof terrace with a pool and the view all over funchal. We spent many relaxing lunch breaks and evenings there.
The location of the apartment is great. There are supermarkets nearby, the city center is about 15 minutes away on foot and by car you are quickly on the highway for excursions.
We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Madeira and highly recommend staying there!!

I cannot praise the flat enough, everything was in very good condition, this one was actually fully equipped, unlocked other "fully equipped" homes we've been to. No issues whatsoever with the landlord. Thanks Hugo!

It's near Santa Lucia park which our kids enjoyed a lot. About 30 min walk to the shore, 15 min walk to the main street. Grocery stores nearby.
I cannot praise the flat enough, everything was in very good condition, this one was actually fully equipped, unlocked other "fully equipped" homes we've been to. No issues whatsoever with the landlord. Thanks Hugo!

This flat is very clean and absolutely gorgeous! The rooftop terrace has a pool and a fantastic view overlooking Funchal and the sea. Hugo was very kind and helpful, he was quick to respond when we had any question - we will definitely be returning when we get the chance, we REALLY enjoyed our stay!!
