Our place has a soul. A Hungarian soul.
If you come to Hungary, sure you can just book a bleak minimalist flat with a huge clock on the wall or one of those fashionable lofts and you will be ok. Your accomodation will be fine but nothing special. You could have stayed in a trendy place like that anywhere in the world, they all look the same.
Our place is different. If you want much more than an accomodation, if you want to experience Hungarian culture, history and art from the first moment you enter your new home, this is the right place for you.
Just look at the pictures.
Your shelf in the sunny, bright living room is a more than 200 years old beam from the countryside that supported the roof of our family cottage house for generations through famines, world wars and communism, it still has the original carved symbols and writings of the carpenter who made it back then. You will see original crested bricks in the wall from the Austro-Hungarian Empire and with the ancient Hungarian coat of arms, you will be shocked by our Wall of Hungarian Inventors, you can play with a Rubik's cube and Hungary’s own historic and unique playing-card decks. You can try an old and bulky communist-era phone and all the other antiques on the beam, rest your eyes on our beautiful Hungarian authentic hand-made folk embroidery, ancient Hungarian motives on the walls, wonder about the pictures and objects of old times.
Of course, first of all it's a comfy, fully equipped home where you can even spend months since there is a big, empty wardrobe, fully equipped kitchen with a coffe machine, fresh towels, bedsheets and everything you will ever need .
The beds are especially comfortable due to the quality mattresses and the adjustable bedgrids.
All watertaps in the bathroom and the kitchen are made of beautifully crafted copper and have hand-painted ceramic handles.
There are many other things that give this flat its Hungarian soul but you will have to experience it to believe it.
All this is located in district 7, in a quiet, unique, 120 years old building in district 7 with special, old-fashioned open-air circular hallways where you can sit, have a cup of coffee and smoke on the little patio with chairs and a table. The location is perfect, public transport is excellent, you can get to all the main tourist attractions in minutes but even if you walk around the neighborhood you can see a lot of historic buildings of all era, some of them not renovated so bulletholes of past wars and revolutions can still be seen in their walls. Very Hungarian, too.
The party district is close so you can get there in a few minutes on foot to enjoy our special ruinpubs, ruinclubs and restaurants, however, the building is NOT situated in the party district so there will be no loud, drunk partying people in the street, your place will be ideal for quiet relaxation.
I speak fluent English and I will be ready to help you with anything, I will tell you about the best Hungarian restaurants, baths, parties, landmarks, attractions and everything you really need to see. if time permits I might just take you around to see some special things in the neighborhood, tell you about Hungarian history, nightlife, or anything you are interested in and give you a Hungarian perspective on things :)
Ez nem csak egy hangulatos, nemrég felújított, gyönyörű otthon Budapest központjában, a legtöbb turisztikai látványosságtól sétatávolságra, hanem ennél sokkal több.
A helyünknek lelke van. Magyar lelke.
Ha Magyarországra jön, természetesen foglalhat egy rideg, minimalista lakást, hatalmas órával a falon, vagy egy divatos loftot, és minden rendben lesz. A szállásod rendben lesz, de semmi különleges. Bármelyik ilyen divatos helyen megszállhattál volna a világon, mind ugyanúgy néznek ki.
A mi otthonunk más. Ha sokkal többet akarsz, mint egy szállást, ha a magyar kultúrát, történelmet és művészetet szeretnéd megismerni attól a pillanattól kezdve, hogy belépsz az új otthonodba, akkor ez a megfelelő hely számodra.

A napos, világos nappaliban található polcod egy több mint 200 éves, vidéki gerenda, amely generációkon át támasztotta családunk nyaralójának tetőjét éhínségek, világháborúk és a kommunizmus idején is, és még mindig rajta vannak az eredeti faragott szimbólumok és írások, amelyeket az akkori asztalos készített. A falon eredeti címeres téglákat láthat az Osztrák-Magyar Monarchiából, az ősi magyar címerrel, megdöbbentő lesz a magyar feltalálók falunk, játszhat Rubik-kockával és Magyarország saját történelmi és egyedi kártyacsomagjaival. Kipróbálhatja a régi, terjedelmes kommunista kori telefont és az összes többi antikvitást a gerendán, megcsodálhatja gyönyörű, magyar, autentikus, kézzel készített népi hímzéseinket, a falakon látható ősi magyar motívumokat, és elmerülhet a régi idők képeiben és tárgyaiban.
Természetesen ez elsősorban egy kényelmes, teljesen felszerelt otthon, ahol akár hónapokat is eltölthet, mivel van egy nagy, üres szekrény, teljesen felszerelt konyha kávéfőzővel, friss törölközők, ágyneműk és minden, amire szüksége lehet.
Az ágyak különösen kényelmesek a minőségi matracok és az állítható ágyrácsok miatt.
A fürdőszoba és a konyha összes csapja gyönyörűen kidolgozott rézből készült, kézzel festett kerámia fogantyúval.
Sok más dolog is hozzájárul a lakás magyar hangulatához, de ezt meg kell tapasztalnia, hogy elhiggye.
Mindez a 7. kerületben található, egy csendes, egyedi, 120 éves épületben, különleges, régimódi, nyitott kör alakú folyosókkal, ahol leülhet, megihat egy csésze kávét és elszívhat egy cigarettát a kis teraszon, ahol székek és asztalok állnak. A helyszín tökéletes, a tömegközlekedés kiváló, néhány perc alatt eljuthat az összes főbb turisztikai látványossághoz, de még ha csak a környéken sétálgat, is sok történelmi épületet láthat minden korszakból, amelyek közül néhányat nem újítottak fel, így a falakon még mindig láthatók a múlt háborúinak és forradalmainak golyólyukai. Ez is nagyon magyar.
A bulinegyed közel van, így pár perc alatt el lehet jutni gyalog, hogy élvezhesse különleges romkocsmáinkat, romklubjainkat és éttermeinket, azonban az épület NEM a bulinegyedben található, így nem lesznek hangos, részeg bulizó emberek az utcán, a hely ideális lesz a nyugodt pihenéshez.
Folyékonyan beszélek angolul, és készséggel segítek Önnek bármiben. Elmondom Önnek a legjobb magyar éttermeket, fürdőket, bulikat, nevezetességeket, látnivalókat és mindent, amit igazán látnia kell.
